Milan Petrović has been a member of the Belgrade Bar Chamber since 2003, during which period he gained extensive experience in counseling regarding daily commercial activities of domestic and international companies, as well as in the performance of M&A transactions, which includes the drafting of numerous DD reports and being in charge of closing high-value acquisitions. He is responsible for providing legal counseling to both Serbian and multinational companies on various corporate, commercial, and IP matters, and he has advised on numerous acquisitions of home country corporations, partnerships and businesses.
Milan advises on a broad range of corporate and commercial transactions. He has experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, joint venture agreements, and other general matters such as shareholders’ agreements, franchise, agency, licensing and distribution agreements, and corporate governance, with a focus on related administrative procedures, real estate, and representations before the Administrative court.
As an experienced commercial litigator with a particular focus on intellectual property and competition law, he advises on all aspects of unfair competition, intellectual property issues, patents, trademarks, copyright, and designs. He has acted in many intellectual property cases that have come before the courts in recent years. Also, he has been involved in numerous trademark/patent infringement actions before the Serbian Intellectual Property Office, the Customs Administration, or the Trade Inspection.
Milan obtained his LL.B. degree at the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Law.
He is fluent in English.
